Walt Disney World Resort and Other Central Florida Evirons as Seen through the Lens of a Camera

We moved to Central Florida on December 23, 2015.  Due to a corporate career change, we were required to move here to Central Florida, two days before Christmas.  So on December 21st, we took down our Christmas tree in Iowa, and moved to a treeless apartment in Florida.

We couldn't bring presents with us due to the fact that we had three months of clothing and other supplies in our suitcases which we would be living out of until our temporary corporate housing was up, and we didn't have time, or the appetite to do a full Christmas shopping trip in a new city (Sanford, FL - a very busy place) on Christmas Eve.  Let's talk about bumper to bumper traffic, and 45 minutes wait times in line at Walmart. Blegghh!!!

To make Christmas extra special during this time of chaos, we decided to buy annual passes to Disney World for our family. As the year progressed and we used those passes we realized they had become the gift that keeps giving throughout the year!

To accomplish this goal, we did venture to the very busy Disney Resort on Christmas Eve, and went to Disney Hollywood Studios to buy the tickets there.  Afterwards, upon a suggestion from a local resident, we toured the resort to see how Disney decorates for Christmas.

We noted that each hotel has a majestic and uniquely decorated tree featured, as well as each park.  These trees are spectacular and  so we took many pictures during our adventure.

We've had so much fun, we decided, again not to buy presents this year for our family, except annual passes, and to go back to WDW at Christmas time to renew the passes.  We also, once again toured the resort for decorations.

Throughout this year, with the camera lens constantly finding it's way to my eyeball, I have seen through that lens many human created wonders throughout the Disney resort at each of my visits.

I have marveled as I have seen and appreciated the many spaces, large and small, created by Inspiration for the purpose of bringing joy and happiness to all who notice. Of course, I recognize that much of what Disney does is to capture our loyalty for their profit, but I have traveled all over the country, and as I have forked out $30 per kid per a 2 hour visit for an aquarium, or museum entrance, I have done so enough to realize the value of a day at a Disney Park where the admission fee is a bargain when you take in a musical, or show that would cost $70 downtown at another venue.

Couple that with the great quality of scenery delights shown in every detail from Main Street to India (Animal Kingdom). These spaces delight, educate, and inspire.

Unfortunately, the only place I could think of to share these images was on Facebook, but realized that my friends were probably getting annoyed at so many Disney pictures coming into their newsfeed, when going to Walt Disney World is at best a once in a lifetime experience for most people.

I needed a place to store and highlight my images.

Hence, WDW Lens was conceived.

Over this past year,  I have taken notice of so many interesting and lovely spaces throughout the WDW resort, and also other spaces in Central Florida, and I seek to share these wonderful images with you!

Thank you for stopping by! Hopefully, if you are a Disney enthusiast, you will find helpful Disney tips, reliable trip reports, and images to trigger happy memories, and images that trigger excitement for your next Disney trip.

Also, you may find from my non-Disney images and reports, places to visit while in Central Florida within a couple of hours from the resort.

Have a great day and enjoy!
